ADVANTAGES

  • GLOBAL RECOGNITION
Sturm is the long-term bestseller of Kizlyar Supreme on all six continents where our knives are sold, thanks to its versatile shape, carefully selected materials and excellent heat treatment.
No other Kizlyar Supreme knife has ever received as many reviews as the Sturm - we have collected some of them for you at the bottom of this page.
Sturm was originally developed at the request of our partners from Germany. Europeans have always liked the tactical line of Supreme knives, but the length of the blades more than 12 cm did not allow them to be used freely outside their own country.
  • LAW ENFORCEMENT NEEDS
At the same time, there was close communication with the special forces, who were also interested in a small, robust tactical knife.

Therefore, the design team was given a clear task: a rugged tactical knife with a 119mm blade, good grip control and a lightweight, durable sheath.
  • everything included
Sturm combines a compact tactical profile with robust construction and secure handling:
Full-tang construction for strength and reliability
Handle options include Kraton with an ABS base, G10 and walnut
4.2 mm blade stock for strength under demanding use
Efficient edge geometry designed to balance cutting performance and durability
A lightweight polypropylene sheath with secure retention and versatile attachment options for belts and MOLLE-compatible equipment
  • SAFETY IS TOP PRIORITY
Safety in combat and civilian use of the knife is ensured by the shape of the handle. The blade protrusion and the handle notch serve as limiters. The notches on the shaft notch are extended to the sides of the blades and form a kind of protection at the mouth of the handle.

The tapered shape of the handle towards the tang also plays an important role, as it forms an implicit stop. Two notches on the sides of the blades, deeper at the tip, emphasize the quickness of the shapes and also taper the handle in the transverse plane, improving the grip during a thrust, creating the same conical effect and preventing the handle from rotating in the hand.
  • THOUGHTFUL DESIGN
The handle geometry supports different grip positions, allowing the user to work closer to the guard for control or farther back for additional leverage when cutting.
The exposed steel pommel has a rounded striking surface designed not to interfere with the palm.
Sturm uses 4.2 mm blade stock, providing substantial strength while keeping the knife compact and manageable for field use.
  • PROCESSING OPTIONS
In addition to the classic StoneWash treatment, the knives in the Tactical Echelon series are also available with the TacWash treatment, a special technology for treating the blade surface through multi-stage vibropolishing.
The method of TacWash application was developed by the experts of Kizlyar Supreme factory especially for police officers who need a glare-free blade exposed to minimal scratches.

Now hunters can also appreciate the benefits of this finish. TacWash gives the blade a deep gray color, completely removes glare, improves anti-corrosion properties and, unlike most coatings, is resistant to mechanical damage, so scratches are virtually non-existent.
  • WITH HANDLE DOWNWARDS
Sturm’s sheath is made entirely from polypropylene. The material provides a durable, lightweight structure while helping minimize edge dulling caused by contact inside the sheath.
Molded retention points engage the handle and hold the knife securely.
The blade is additionally stabilized inside the sheath to reduce movement and rattle during carry.
The secure retention system supports inverted carry with the handle pointing downward.
  • best steels
Current Sturm steels include PGK, AUS-8, AUS-10Co (Cryo) and Elmax, offering different balances of toughness, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and edge retention.
PGK variants reach up to 62–63 HRC, providing strong edge retention while retaining the toughness required for demanding work.
Its alloy composition supports aggressive cutting performance, high wear resistance and durability under demanding loads.
  • WILL CUT AND SLICE
AUS-8 is a balanced stainless steel valued for corrosion resistance, toughness, straightforward sharpening and dependable everyday performance.
Earlier Sturm variants were also produced in CPM 4V and CPM M4. These steels are not part of the current range and may return if material availability allows.
  • WITHOUT COMPROMISE
When developing the Sturm knife, we put aside the thought of simplicity of manufacture and focused primarily on the comfort and efficiency of the knife at work.

You will easily feel all the advantages of this approach (sophisticated but sharp blade structure, composite handle, lightweight compact sheath) as soon as you pick up the knife and start working.
