Maximus guide
Clear answers about construction, steel choices, the current sheath and ownership.
Maximus is a large full-tang outdoor fixed blade with a broad 143 mm blade, 4 mm stock and durable G10 handle scales. It is designed for camping, hunting preparation and demanding utility work where strength and controlled handling matter.
Maximus has been produced in Sleipner, D2 and AUS-8. Sleipner balances wear resistance with good toughness, D2 is chosen for prolonged edge retention, and AUS-8 offers toughness, corrosion resistance and straightforward field sharpening. Availability varies by production run and market.
The full-tang handle uses textured G10 scales fixed with stainless-steel hollow pins. G10 remains dimensionally stable through changing temperature and moisture, while the shaped profile and guard support a secure, comfortable grip.
The current sheath combines a durable ballistic-nylon outer body with an edge-caring polypropylene insert. It supports several belt and gear-carry orientations, and the adjustable retention strap helps secure the knife during active movement.
Maximus is covered by the Kizlyar Supreme warranty for the original owner. Keep your proof of purchase and consult the current warranty terms for coverage, maintenance guidance and service instructions.
