PGK from LOHMANN STAHL
A very high hardness of 62-63 HRC is a dream for any user - the knife holds perfectly when sharpened. However, blades with this hardness usually become brittle. Not with PGK steel!
This incomparable German steel withstands very high loads even at such a high hardness.
Thanks to the high content of alloying elements (carbon, tungsten, vanadium, molybdenum, silicon), this steel is characterized by aggressive cutting and maximum wear resistance, i.e. it keeps the cutting edge sharp.
At the same time, even with a high hardness of about 62-63 HRC, the blades are very stable and resistant to chipping.
If you want a combination of excellent cutting ability, sharpness retention and superior durability, you can choose a PGK blade.
