A multilayer material that is a composite of fibers: woven fabric, cellulose, carbon fiber, and other materials in thermoset plastic.
That is, the base layers are impregnated and bonded with special synthetic resins. Micarta is very strong and stable, has excellent resistance to high and low temperatures and to chemicals, its density is higher than that of wood, and it feels warmer than metal, but does not conduct electricity. Of course, what made Micarta so popular, besides its excellent strength properties, was the beauty of the pattern.
The layered structure, especially after 3D milling, creates a unique pattern on each handle.
