Companero means “companion” in Spanish. We chose the name because this is the kind of Kizlyar Supreme knife that earns its place through frequent, ordinary usefulness—not through unnecessary size.

The 110 mm blade remains quick and controllable, while the 120 mm handle gives the hand the working space of a larger knife. Its narrow profile, delicate point and zero-convex cutting geometry favour clean, efficient cutting in camp, on the trail, by the water and around food.

Companero was developed with experienced Kizlyar Supreme users and knife specialists. During a year of testing, the blade was revised twice and the handle three times. That process is visible in the finished knife: the geometry, grip and leather carry system feel like parts of one idea.

Why it cuts differently

Companero is built around cutting efficiency rather than unnecessary thickness.

The blade’s convex faces flow towards a very fine edge instead of ending in a wide conventional secondary bevel. This geometry helps the narrow blade enter material cleanly, while the convex transition supports the edge more progressively than a simple flat wedge.

That is why Companero feels especially natural when carving, preparing food, cleaning fish, cutting cord or making controlled slices. It is also why the knife should be used as a cutter: the fine point and edge are not intended for prying, twisting in hard material or striking metal.
