- EXCELLENT STEELSUrban is made from a number of interesting steels - AUS -8, D2 and Niolox.
AUS-8, invented in Japan, is considered one of the best steels, combining such important quality parameters as good corrosion resistance, high strength and good wear resistance. AUS -aUS-8 is considered a balanced steel and is used by the leaders of the Western knife market for knives in the medium price segment.
- D2 and NIOLOXD2 steel, used primarily in high-end knives, is very wear resistant and blades made from it have a very aggressive cut.
Niolox is said to have similar wear resistance to D2 steel, but with improved blade strength. Niolox blades are easily sharpened to razor sharpness.
A distinctive feature of Niolox is its 0.7% niobium content, which improves the combination of user properties-high corrosion resistance, high toughness, and high wear resistance.
Although Niolox is not a powder steel, it has a very homogeneous structure, which guarantees the quality and stable expression of the steel properties in use.
- READY FOR ANYTHINGThe Urban is a fairly compact knife, suitable for any work that requires precision. Many experienced users say it is "just the right size."
The razor-sharp blade of about 95 mm cuts effortlessly through all materials, and the thoughtful shapes of the knife make any continuous work a pleasure.
It is not without reason one of the most popular Russian knives.
- COMFORTABLE GRIPThe perfectly color coordinated handle is a great complement to the blade in this treatment. It is made of G-10 and machined in three dimensions. The topography and notches of the handle provide excellent ergonomics and prevent slipping. This shape of the handle is very comfortable to hold with a variety of handles.
